According to the Law Department’s letter, recommendations for appointing legal advisers to government departments covered the period from November 11, 2024, to September 17, 2026.
These appointments were made on the recommendations of the scrutiny committee of the Advocate General’s Office.
The letter instructs all administrative departments to immediately de-notify the relevant legal advisers and inform the Law Department accordingly.
New Appointments to Be Made on Merit
