Mansehra: Man Arrested for Allegedly Forcing Poor Man into Unpaid Labor at Gunpoint.

Mansehra: Police have arrested a man accused of threatening a poor resident at gunpoint, allegedly forcing him to look after livestock and perform household chores without payment. The suspect is also accused of opening fire to intimidate the family, holding them hostage, and dragging the complainant’s wife by her hair.
According to the complainant, Gul Faraz son of Muhammad Iqbal, he had been living at the house of a contractor, Siddique, in Bela Ghazi Kot. He alleged that his neighbor, Malik Jahangir son of Muhammad Sultan, took him to his hujra and subsequently forced him to perform household work and take care of livestock without compensation.
The complainant further alleged that whenever he refused to work, the suspect displayed a weapon and threatened to kill him and his family, while also subjecting him to alleged violence and mistreatment.
Family Allegedly Held Hostage
According to the complaint, when Gul Faraz decided to leave the house with his wife, daughter and son-in-law, Malik Jahangir allegedly entered the house along with 4–5 other men and began assaulting him.
The complainant alleged that he and his family were held hostage for approximately two hours. The suspects allegedly opened fire to intimidate them and issued threats to kill them, while his wife was allegedly dragged by her hair and assaulted.
Police Action
Police registered a case at City Police Station, Mansehra, under FIR No. 1293, invoking Sections 452, 506(ii), 440, 354, 509, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Police have arrested the main nominated suspect, Malik Jahangir son of Muhammad Sultan, while further legal proceedings are underway.
