The programme also includes mobile milk-quality testing laboratories to check milk quality and detect adulteration and harmful contaminants.
Chief Minister’s Remarks
Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that the “Ehsaas-e-Bezaban Sehat Gaari” programme was not merely a mobile veterinary service but represented a commitment to the welfare of livestock and the communities that depend on them.
He said no farmer should be deprived of quality veterinary services because of geographical distance or location.
He further stated that modern and timely veterinary services would be brought closer to livestock farmers in remote areas so they would not have to travel long distances for treatment and care.
Objectives of the Programme
According to the Chief Minister, the programme aims to:
Focus not only on treating animals but also on preventing diseases
Improve livestock productivity
Increase the income of farming families
He said healthier livestock would contribute to better production, higher incomes and a stronger rural economy.
